We are in the “Clean Business” and that influences everything we do. Imperial is known for operating one of the cleanest, safest, most efficient laundry operations in the industry.

Since 1943, Imperial Linen Services has occupied a 20,000 sq. ft. facility just east of downtown Houston. Our current processing capacity is 50,000 lbs. per 8-hour shift. We continually upgrade and use state-of-the-art, energy and water efficient equipment—but space for expansion is limited in our current facility.

New Facility Will More than Double Our Capacity

As we plan for continued growth, Imperial is building a new
50,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility.

The new facility will be built in two phases, dramatically increasing our processing capacity. The first phase will be 50,000 sq. ft. and the second phase will allow an additional 50,000 sq. ft. to be added when needed. The unique design and cutting-edge equipment will continue to take full advantage of new water reuse and recycling technologies in which we are already invested. The surrounding six acres of land will also allow for seamless future expansion without interruption of ongoing operations.

Our Equipment Helps the Environment
Imperial Linen Services uses the latest energy-efficient technology to dramatically decrease water and energy usage. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to use less than 1 gallon of water per pound of laundry, a 75% reduction which is far below the current industry benchmark.

Our Milnor Continuous Batch Washing System automatically recycles water and cleaning solutions through a carefully controlled pH-balanced system. Linens washed in our continuous batch washer come out perfectly clean, without a trace of skin-irritating residue left behind.

We also have a balance of large- and small-capacity conventional washers that also use energy efficient systems. These washers provide us the flexibility to process emergency backup orders quickly and efficiently. Most importantly, they give us complete backup for all our systems. Our philosophy is, “the customer’s show must go on, regardless.”

Our state-of-the-art equipment saves energy and has less negative impact on the environment than less efficient machines. Drying, pressing, and folding processes are automated to increase productivity, reduce staff fatigue, and help reduce costs. We pass these savings on to our clients through our all inclusive, competitive pricing.

Laundry Industry Compliance
Imperial meets “Universal Standards” set by OSHA and Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and has comprehensive safety programs in place. All of our management and supervisory staff are cross-trained in all areas of production and route service to help ensure stability in our operations at all times.

Why not just wash your linens at home? Can’t each person just take his or her own linens home to wash? OSHA regulations strictly prohibit this as outlined in OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030. Outsourcing helps keep you, your patients, your employees and all of your families safe.
